GitHub - AndrioCelos/KtaneNotVanillaModules: New. It would be enough to change rules (which wire, when, what conditions, etc), or change words (in morse options, in Who's first options etc).īut even new Manual would soon be learned - faster then first one, and certainly faster than developers can manually add next one. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a first-person multiplayer co-op game where one player is given the computer screen, complete with a bomb thatll kill them in a certain amount of time, and the other player reads from a manual, with no access to what the first player says, to instruct them on how to deactivate it. New modules for Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes that look suspiciously similar to the vanilla modules. Game is great, but eventually it become too easy - after experts learn enough of rules.Īdding new version of Manual (even without adding new modules) would be one way to refresh this, and improve on game staying power.

Betty and barney hill plaque8/5/2023 There's a chapter on Betty and Barney's relationship (a bi-racial couple), how it developed." But given the impact of the UFO event on their lives it's the focus. "It follows her life since 1957 till her death (in 2004). Marden's book is intended as a biography of Betty Hill. The importance of laying the ground is evident as she checks off their involvements and accomplishments. Marden goes on to explain how well established the two were. My aunt was a well-educated social worker for the state and Barney worked for the Boston Post Office and was active in the civil rights movement, a lifelong member of the NAACP. "I just assumed we were the only life forms." I never though of anything outside the solar system," she says. But, I had learned in school that none of the planets were inhabited. They'd come to tell the family what they could recall about their recent, life-changing trip to the N.H. Kathy, 13, was at home when Aunt Betty and Uncle Barney of Portsmouth dropped by. Along with Stanton T Friedman, Marden has penned "Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience," which will be released in August by Career Press/New Page Books. So later when the Stratham resident became a social worker and educator, she decided it was best not to mention her relationship to Betty and Barney Hill.īut her interest and curiosity, as well as her love for the two people at the center of one of the most famous - alleged - UFO abductions, eventually led her back to the subject. She'd witnessed firsthand the circus that engulfed their lives, pro and con. The Hills claimed neither of them remembered much after that moment. There were decades during which Kathleen Marden didn't divulge who her aunt and uncle were. They eventually stopped their car to examine the light through binoculars, and Betty noticed that the object was spinning.Īs the object, which the Hills described as "saucer-like," landed in a nearby field, Barney retrieved his gun from the car and walked toward it. The couple initially thought they had seen a falling star or a satellite off its course, but the Hills soon had the sinking feeling that the bright light was following them. While driving, they noticed a bright light cross the night sky. The Hills were also an interracial couple active in the civil rights movement, and they had been married just 16 months at the time of their impromptu trip. They wanted to escape their demanding work lives: Barney worked the night shift at a post office, and Betty was a welfare worker for the state. Photo: FX / FXīetty and Barney Hill were driving down Route 3 in the White Mountains of New Hampshire on September 19, 1961, returning from a vacation to Niagara Falls and Montreal. The alien abduction case of Betty and Barney Hill has fascinated the public for decades and frustrated skeptics who believe the whole ordeal is nothing but a giant hoax. They collaborated on a book about their experience, and their story was later adapted into a 1975 made-for-TV movie called The UFO Incident, starring Estelle Parsons and James Earl Jones. The Hills claimed they were taken in 1961 ( Asylum starts in 1964), and their story quickly became a media sensation. The American Horror Story alien abduction adapts the supposed real-life abduction of Betty and Barney Hill. It was also about science versus faith so it made sense to me," Murphy said in a 2013 interview. It fit very easily into the world of a Catholic sanitarium asylum. At first glance, the two plots have nothing in common, and showrunner Ryan Murphy had to defend the choice. "For me, were always an obvious metaphor for God. Fans were divided at the end of American Horror Story: Asylum, which patched together the storylines of a nightmarish mental institution and an alien abduction.

Port glasses8/5/2023 In the 19th century the then Bishop of Norwich was quite the bon vivant, and notorious for forgetting to pass the port. Tradition also has it that the bottle should be kept in circulation, and not set down again until it has returned to the host. A much more practical reason is that the majority of people are right-handed making it easier to pour the wine with the right hand and pass it on with the left. Pouring a glass of Port with your right hand would prevent you being able to draw your sword or revolver. There are a number of explanations for this, one of which is that it was seen as a sign of friendship and peace to the person sitting on their left. Port, either in bottle or decanter, is traditionally passed from right to left or clockwise around the table. Very often in busy restaurant kitchens the glasses will be taken directly from a washing machine which has used strong detergents, and possibly wiped dry with a dishtowel that might not have been too fresh. If you suspect the wine is off, you might first ask for a fresh, empty glass – and sniff the glass before transferring the wine. In this case you should request a white wine glass and transfer the wine. Too often restaurants offer Port in a very small cordial glass filled to the brim. In a RestaurantĪlthough Vintage Port is generally served after a meal and therefore in smaller quantities than dry wines, it should still be served in good sized glasses. If the glassware has been in storage, it may have picked up off odours from a cardboard box or the cupboard. If they have just been washed, there may be a lingering odour of dish washing detergent, or detergent (or worse!) from the tea towel used to dry the glasses. Before you serve your Port, sniff the empty glasses. One other aspect of glassware too often overlooked: cleanliness. The standard ISO technical tasting glasses work, or of course the specialised Vintage Port glasses developed by the Austrian glass producer, Riedel, are ideal. The ideal Port glass is tulip shaped and will allow you to swirl and air the wine in the glass so that the aromas and colour can be appreciated to the full. The pleasure of Port comes in large measure from being able to savour its lovely aromas – and aromas are a large component of taste sensations. Older wines, more than 40 years, tend to be more fragile and are likely to lose their freshness and complexity after a relatively short period of time, and should be enjoyed on the occasion of their opening. Use of a Vacuvin™ wine stopper may extend its life a little further. Like all great wines, Vintage Port should ideally be enjoyed within a day or two of opening. If you are thinking of all the literary allusions to warming Port (or other wines) by the fire, remember that up until the mid 20th century or later, houses were not centrally heated and could be as cold or colder than modern cellar temperature recommendations. straight from the cellar) and the wine will not release all its aromas and flavours, too warm (20° or more) and it may appear unbalanced or a little spirity on the nose. Vintage Ports are best served slightly below modern room temperature: 16° to 18° Celcius (or 61º to 64º Fahrenheit).

Go to deep scan, DiskDrill can search much more files than the others. In the first testing, DiskDrill cannot find any data back(quick scan). In the testing, we simulated the four data scenarios as mentioned before: Deleted all files and emptied the recycle bin, formatting, deep scan, quick scan (to scan the large files). The free version only supports recovering 100 MB of data. The deep scan takes less scanning time. It’s compatible with a wide range of storage devices, from SD and micro SD, SDHC, SDXC to MMC, CF card, HDD, SDD and USB Flash drive. It automatically scans, gathers, and matches the video fragments, ensuring your videos are recovered completely. Recoverit developed patented technology for video fragment file recovery. Thus, you might find that the recovered video files are corrupt or unplayable when you recover your lost video using a common recovery tool. They may be stored in thousands to tons of video fragments on your SD memory cards.

File compressor8/5/2023 This will download a ZIP file with all your compressed images. When you are satisfied with the current batch, hit the “DOWNLOAD ALL” button. When you’re finished, hit the “APPLY” button and move on to repeat these steps with the next image. Now, move the quality slider up or down until you settle on a file size/quality setting you think is just right. Tap the thumbnail of the image you’d like to tweak. However, if you want more or less compression, you can control it. You’ll be able to see their real-time progress as our server analyzes them.Īs stated, our server will determine the ideal compression rate to reduce the file size while not reducing quality too much. Once uploaded, you’ll see thumbnails for all your images arriving in the queue. Our server can automatically parse out the files for you.įirst, hit the “Upload Files” button and navigate to your images. In other words, you don’t need to only upload JPGs and wait to upload PNGs. You can upload up to 20 images at once and you can feel free to mix and match file types. To begin, you’ll need to upload some images you’d like to compress. This system intelligently analyzes uploaded images and reduces them to the smallest possible file size without negatively affecting the overall quality. It supports three file types: PNG, JPG/JPEG, and GIF. Our tool uses lossy compression to shrink down image files. Compressing them could free up more internal storage, fixing this problem. These images could be taking up a lot of hard drive space and preventing you from taking more photos. Likewise, you might have large images on your phone. Compressing this image would be very useful. Depending on your needs, this could be too big. A JPG from a professional DSLR camera, for example, could be dozens of megabytes. Why would you want to compress images?ĭepending on the source of an image, the file could be quite large. With lossy compression, how small you want the final file to be will depend on how much loss of quality you’re comfortable with. This results in a smaller file but with a reduced quality. Lossy compression is when the compressor removes excessive or unimportant bits from the original file. This results in a smaller file that has the exact same quality as the original. Lossless compression is when the compression tool removes empty, needless, or duplicated bits from the original file. There are two types of compression: lossless and lossy. Simply put, it means converting a large file into a smaller file. In terms of digital files, compression is the act of encoding information using fewer bits than what’s found in the original file.

Fireside dining menu8/5/2023 The Clinton House was built in 1743 and is filled with historic charm – from its exposed wood beams and large stone fireplace. The cool winter months in Hunterdon are filled with holiday festivals, charming coffee shops, bundled up trail hiking, and so much more! The best way to warm up after a long day? Step back in time and cozy up fireside at one of Hunterdon’s many historic taverns and inns!įireside Dining at The Clinton House The historic Clinton House was built in 1743 and is cozy and inviting spot for special celebrations. It was average in cost compared to other places we had eaten with far superior food.Hunterdon is dotted with historic taverns and Inns that feature seasonal farm to table meals and cozy fireside dining. Simply amazing! Our waiter Jeff was also excellent. I had the apple crumb cheese cake a la mode, and he had the peanut butter pie. We were stuffed but had to try the desserts we saw other people having. My partner had the porkchop dinner which he devoured it tasted so good. So thick and juicy they give you a steak knife. NO!! This was two nice sized medallions of chicken with some fresh tomatoes and just a bit of mozzarella cheese and basil. the same old chicken breasts flattened with mozzarella etc. Then a great salad not just standard greens, cucumbers, radishes etc. several more crocks of that soup and made it a meal it tasted so good. We both had a crock of the crab soup, correctly seasoned and balanced. The food: Every single thing we had was mouth watering and fantastic. This was our first time to this spectacular place. We visit Lancaster 3-4 times a year and with the hundreds of restaurant options there, although the atmosphere and food was nice/good, we most likely will not ever return to the Fireside Tavern. My advise to management is to take a strong look at your staff and recognize the wonderful employees and then realize which ones are more of a liability for repeat customers. She had never even introduced herself and the only way that we knew her name was Sherri was by her name on the bottom of our bill. If you are going to come to work in such a robotic demeanor with no happy personality, then find a different job that does not put you in the public eye. But, the continual attitude and lack of personality from our server was so disappointing. And the lousy dessert could be pushed aside. The toddler whining next to us could be ignored. But…I always say that a server can “make or break a dining experience” and that proved to be so true. It was pie filling with crumble baked on top. The biggest disappointment was the apple crisp for dessert. And our meals were very good…although I would not say excellent. The restaurant was nicely decorated as expected. So with great anticipation we entered … that excitement soon dwindled when we realized that. I had seen the pics online and the restaurant looked nicely decorated for Christmas. We were excited to dine here while we were in Lancaster for a holiday filled weekend.
